## Approved identity

Master canvas: 100 × 100. Outer radius: 36. Outer stroke: 7.5. Inner strokes: 5.
Meridian ellipse: rx 15, ry 36. Ratio of outer to inner stroke: 1.5:1.

Use mark-global.svg on light backgrounds and mark-global-reverse.svg on dark backgrounds.
Use avatar.svg for a padded square social avatar.
Use lockup-horizontal.svg for the mark with THE / CAPITAL / MAP.
The lockup contains live Arial text, not outlined lettering. Check font substitution before print production.

Clear space: at least 12.5 units outside each side of the 100-unit viewBox.
Minimum recommended digital size: 24 px; header: 38 px.
16 px is reserved for favicon use and requires a check on the target display.

Display: 60–98 px desktop, 58–78 px mobile; line-height 0.96.
Section titles: 38–60 px. Article titles: 24–34 px.
Body: 16 px, line-height 1.5–1.7; target no more than 66 characters per reading line.
Metadata: 10–12 px. Avoid long uppercase paragraphs.

## Layout and interaction

12-column foundation; maximum width 1440 px; gutters 20–64 px.
Spacing: 8, 16, 24, 32, 48, 76 px.
Sharp corners, thin rules, no decorative shadows.
Use editorial hierarchy instead of identical card grids.
Use a single content column below 600 px.
Keep keyboard focus visible. Dialogs close with Escape. Respect reduced motion.
Never fabricate search, subscription or form success.

## Images and maps

Use architecture, infrastructure, real geography and typographic editorial covers.
Logo arcs may be cropped as a background motif, never presented as measured data.
Avoid generic coins, handshakes, invented charts and decorative market statistics.
The architecture asset on this site is AI-generated and is labelled as illustration.
